Math Olympiad is a math competition open to students in grades 4-8. We will begin official practices during Discovery Fridays, beginning in January. If your student would like to begin preparing this fall, please have them stop by the library and pick up a packet of materials from Mrs. Boone.

KIDS Praise

It’s been a great start to KIDS Praise this year!  The older students are kicking things off with leadership in pledges, prayer, and worship.  We’ve also started a grade level worship team for 4th-6th grades.  It has been amazing to see the enthusiasm for worship and servant leadership from the students.

In our first KIDS Praise, Mr. Rasmussen used a variety of lights to remind us that God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our paths.

In our second KIDS Praise, students were asked the question “What is the MOST important thing you know?” and by the end were shouting the answer “That I am LOVED!”  This truth, that we are deeply loved by God and others, is something we hope sinks deep down for students and is a great question to ask them at home.

Last week students were reminded that God wants to be close to us.  We looked at the story of the tearing of the curtain when Jesus died as a big way that God shows that God wants to be close to us!

KIDS Praise is a great time of worship, celebration and learning about Jesus.  We hope you can join us!
