Serve Day: Grades 4, 5, & 5
Serve Day was on Friday, September 23, 2016. Our fourth grade students served by cleaning up our campus; our fifth grade students served in classrooms; and our sixth grade students served in the neighborhood weeding and raking yards. It was a great success!!
See attached pictures!
Any change in student pick-up at the end of the day needs to go through the office. This is the only way to be sure your student gets the message. If you send an email to the teacher, he/she may not be available to respond due to teaching students. Please Call Mrs. de Langen or Miss Soriano at 206-546-7258.
Emails and/or Phone Messages
Our school policy is that emails or phone messages from parents will be returned by the end of the next business day.
Carpool Confusion at Drop-Off?
Happy to clarify for you!
- Students should NEVER be dropped off anywhere on either side of Dayton Ave. N.
- Students should be dropped off INSIDE the carpool area.
Lunch with Your Children
Parent seating space at lunchtime is limited. Please wait until ALL students are seated to see if there is adequate space for you. You may end up kneeling or standing by your child! Thank you!
Parent Council: Teacher Appreciation and Compassionate Ministry
The Parent Council supports our teachers, staff and family community in many ways. One way we do that is through our Compassion/Crisis Ministry that supports families in need. From time to time, some families need a little extra help to cover unexpected needs. This ministry relies on donations from our King’s community to make this support happen. Please consider anonymously donating a gift card or cash to the Compassion Ministry.
Suggestions for donations: Fred Meyer, Costco, Target, gas cards. Cash is also an option (no checks). Donations can be brought to Marie de Langen in the elementary office. Contact Julie Gibson email@example.com or Ann Faris firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
Supporting Staff Gifts and Specialists: Another way we support our staff is through small birthday gifts for staff and specialists. These teachers do not have a class of their own that would normally provide a birthday gift, so Parent Council gives a small gift to honor and celebrate them on their birthday. We would appreciate some help in covering the cost of these gifts – we currently have 18 staff and specialists. If you are interested, please click on the Sign Up Genius link below to sign up for a $10 donation! Donations can then be brought to the office and put in the envelope for ‘Teacher Appreciation’.
Thank you for prayerfully considering your donations.
