Jr. High Athletic Schedules
Please find all of our current Jr. High game schedules for the current season at the following link: http://www.khsathletics.com/information/junior-high-athletics
Jr. High Chapels
This week is our first chapel of the year. Jr. High Chapel is usually on Fridays, but our first two chapels are on Thursdays this month.
On Fridays, we encourage the junior high students to wear red & white or King’s gear (Armor sweatshirts) to promote school spirit. At most of our chapels, Mrs. Halkett will draw a student’s name and if they are dressed in school spirit attire, they will get a change to spin the prize wheel.
Also, during Seahawks season, if there is a home game that weekend, students dressed in Seahawks gear will also be qualified to spin the wheel if their name is called.
King’s STEM Conference
On Saturday, October 15, the King’s CyberKnights will be hosting a Women in STEM conference in Schirmer Auditorium at King’s High School from 1pm-4pm. Junior high girls are invited to attend this event.
This is a great opportunity to hear from and get to know other women who love and are passionate about STEM. Sign up at http://cyberknights4911.com/womeninstem for your FREE ticket. Space is limited! Parking will be available at King’s Garden Gym. Check-in starts at 12:45 P.M. The keynote speaker is Mrs. Deb Limb, the former Director of Structural Engineering at Boeing, and mechanical engineer. A panel of professional women in STEM careers will be speaking about their experiences and sharing their advice to the next generation of women entering the STEM field.

Mrs. Wasson and her leadership class visited the Funko company in Everett last week on a class field trip (see photo above). They were able to have a tour and talk with some of this company’s leaders to learn more about their organization and ideas.
