Last week, King’s Schools held the first emergency drills of the school year. At Elementary, sixth graders lead the safety team, learning how to construct a large emergency tent, to communicate with walkie-talkies and to help implement all aspects of the King’s All-Hazard Emergency Plan.
King’s Schools has an emergency preparation program that is recognized by state officials as one of the finest in our region. King’s students and staff work together to plan and implement frequent drills at all school sites for fire, earthquake, lockdown, evacuation and active shooter. The plan includes supplies to shelter everyone in place for up to three days.
