King’s Preschool’s Full Day and Half Day Prekindergarten classrooms enjoyed a Thanksgiving Taco Feast. King’s Preschool parent volunteers catered the event. The students are learning formal eating behavior and healthy eating choices.

We encourage all Preschool Parents to volunteer and join their students for these events!

King’s Preschool’s Full Day and Half Day programs will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday!

Preschool & Elementary Grandparents’ Day
The date for Grandparents’ Day has been updated to Thursday March 2, 2017. Please fill out this form for your child’s grandparents whom you would like to be invited. Note – this is an invitation request form only, to be filled out by the parent. This is not an RSVP confirmation, invitations will be sent to grandparents. Please visit www.kingsschools.org/grandparents and complete your form by Nov. 30, 2016.

Service Opportunity
Is your family looking for an opportunity to serve over Thanksgiving weekend?  Join us as we help the Crista Assisted Living communities decorate for Christmas!  They will provide the decorations and we will provide the manpower. This is a great opportunity for all ages (and service hours can be earned for junior high and high school students)!  Please email Krissie Smith at knksmith@hotmail.com if you can decorate on Sunday, November 27th  at 12:00.

SCRIP During the Holidays
SCRIP:  The holidays are approaching fast and it is a great time to take advantage of using SCRIP for all of your shopping and gift giving.  Please refer to the Parent Calendar so that you know when the order deadlines and pick up dates are.  The calendar is located on the King’s website in the parent section under SCRIP.   Please note that there is no order pick up next week due to the holiday so if you are needing SCRIP for your Thanksgiving shopping we will be selling SCRIP TO GO on Monday Nov 21st from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.

Auction
Auction Save the Date postcards were mailed to families last week. If you haven’t marked it on your calendar yet…. be sure to note it today — 3/17/17, 5:30 pm at the Lynnwood Convention Center. Thank you for all the wonderful donations submitted. If you plan to do a bit of Black Friday shopping be sure to check out the Auction Amazon Wish List with a few amazing Black Friday specials. Donations can also be procured through local businesses, personal contacts or “connections”!

King’s Preschool Fundraiser: Seattle Urban Academy

Please continue to give items to your classroom teachers for this fundraiser.
November 1-23, King’s preschool and prekindergarten classrooms will work to collect school supplies and gift cards for Seattle Urban Academy. We will donate the supplies to SUA just before Thanksgiving. Check your classroom newsletters for more information.

Join King’s Preschool for Chapel, Every Wednesday at 9:00am in King’s Preschool Gym. If you’re unable to attend Chapel because of scheduling times we would love to encourage you! During Chapel we are praying for all of our children and their families; moms, dads, and grandparents. Remember at 9:00am on Wednesday’s we are praying for you and we want you to join with us! Where ever you are, at 9:00am on Wednesday morning we want to encourage you to take a moment and pray for your children, their classrooms, and their teachers at King’s Preschool.

Chapel has been filled with great blessings, this week we had one of our very own moms, Mrs. Stephanie Yamamoto, share a lesson on being thankful and the cornucopia; the horn of plenty, in all things being thankful for our circumstance as the Lord blesses us all.

Chapel is a great time to spend time in worship and praise with your children, please come and join us!
