King’s Preschool Fundraiser: Seattle Urban Academy Thank you to all our families as we collect donations for Seattle Urban Academy. King’s Preschool students love to give and Parent Representative had SUA on their hearts! Check out this link to learn more about CRISTA’s, Seattle Urban Academy

Janet McLeod, from Seattle Urban Academy came to our chapel today to tell us about Seattle Urban Academy and receive the donations of food and school supplies that all of our families so graciously donated!

December Fundraiser and Service Project for King’s Preschool We are going to go ahead and have our service project for December focus on raising donations for Hand In Hand’s Safe Place. For those of you who are not familiar with that organization, they are an organization that provides emergency care for children 12 and under who have been removed from their homes do to neglect/abuse. These kids are often taken quickly from their homes and leave with little or nothing of their own. They are then placed at Safe Place, until their social worker can find them a more permanent foster home. Hand In Hand is always looking for donations, but in December, they also provide food and a free store where families in need can go shop for new clothes and toys to give their children for Christmas.  For our service project we would like to raise these items…

  • NEW Fall/Winter Shoes
  • New Clothes (they get a lot of donations for baby clothes, but they are also in need of larger sizes 10-14)
  • New Elementary Age Toys
  • New and Unopened Diapers
  • $25 dollar gift cards for tweens to iTunes, Amazon, Walmart, Fred Meyer, Target, etc.

Here is a link to their website if you would like to know more.
