King’s Preschool’s Christmas Concert! 5:15pm Schirmer Auditorium – All Classrooms; Full Day and Half Day

Following the concert, we will have food and fellowship. Please help our Preschool Parent Support Team collect donation dollars to purchase “child friendly food.” Donation jar is located in the preschool office.

Note from Parent Support Team: “The parent support team is trying to assist parents at this busy time of year. To avoid having to ask parents to bring food items to the Christmas Concert, they are asking for monetary donations so food can be bulk purchased. Please donate $$ at the preschool office. Thank You!”

Christmas Caroling experience!
King’s Preschool Classrooms and students spent time singing and practicing our Christmas program songs in front of our CRISTA Senior Living “Grandma’s and Grandpa’s”. It was wonderful to see that joy on the Senior Living residents faces and watch them sing along. As the children left the chapel room Santa said, “Merry Christmas” and passed out candy canes.

December Fundraiser and Service Project for King’s Preschool
We are going to go ahead and have our service project for December focus on raising donations for Hand In Hand’s Safe Place. For those of you who are not familiar with that organization, they are an organization that provides emergency care for children 12 and under who have been removed from their homes do to neglect/abuse. These kids are often taken quickly from their homes and leave with little or nothing of their own. They are then placed at Safe Place, until their social worker can find them a more permanent foster home. Hand In Hand is always looking for donations, but in December, they also provide food and a free store where families in need can go shop for new clothes and toys to give their children for Christmas.  For our service project we would like to raise these items…

  • NEW Fall/Winter Shoes
  • New Clothes (they get a lot of donations for baby clothes, but they are also in need of larger sizes 10-14)
  • New Elementary Age Toys
  • New and Unopened Diapers
  • $25 dollar gift cards for tweens to iTunes, Amazon, Walmart, Fred Meyer, Target, etc.

Here is a link to their website if you would like to know more: http://handinhandkids.org/#/safe-place

Auction
This year, there are two new fun elements to King’s Auction – a wine grab and dessert dash! Both are a way for everyone to join in the fun. The wine grab will be 3 bottles of wine – carefully disguised with wrapping – valued at $40 or higher for a price of $100. The dessert dash will offer each guest at every table to place a bid for a dessert. We hope to offer lots of delicious, beautiful and amazing desserts and wine for these two new offerings. So, if you’d like to donate wine or a fabulous dessert if you bake or have a favorite bakery that will donate your favorite sweet treat just let us know – www.kingsauction@kingsschools.org. Both wine and dessert donations count towards family auction support.
