The CHICK-FIL-A SPIRIT NIGHTS were a huge success!
King’s Knights challenged Archbishop Murphy Wildcats to a sales and nugget eating contest. Each school had a designated SPIRIT Night at Chick-fil-A in Lynnwood with a goal of earning the most sales and winning a chicken nugget and lemonade chugging contest – an annual tradition in the making with a trophy at stake!
On Thursday, Jan 5th, our Knights came out in force to enjoy amazing chicken and earn money for the Boys Basketball program! From 5:30 to 8:30 pm, the store was flooded with King’s families enjoying dinner together. The showing for the King’s community was tremendous! Toward the end of the evening, a team of five Knights were timed on how quickly they could down nuggets and lemonade. The kids did a great job as the entire restaurant watched and cheered.
Archbishop Murphy’s Spirit Night was on Wednesday and they had a great showing, too.
The fanfare ended at the Kings vs. Archbishop home game on Friday. Chick-fil-A joined in the fun bringing their cow mascot. King’s won the award for total sales volume and earned 15% of the proceeds from our Spirit Night, while Archbishop Murphy took home the Nugget Lemonade Contest Trophy.
Thank you Chick-fil-A for supporting Christian education and creating a fun event. Let’s do this again next year! Way to go, Knights!
