Jr. High Leadership class is hosting a Spirit and Serve Week Jan 17-20.
In the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr. and our desire to be servant leaders, the Leadership class researched the needs of our community and how we could respond. We found that a lot of community organizations really need baby items and we felt that this is a need we could try to meet. We have come up with a mission statement: helping those that help those who can’t themselves and have decided to host a Baby Shower Spirit and Serve Week. From the 17th-20th Jr. High Students will be asked to donate baby items such as diapers, wipes, blankets, clothes, etc. to be donated to local charities such as the Pediatric Interim Care Center, Mary’s Place, Westside Baby and Hope Link. Our “Baby Shower” will include dress up days, baby shower games at lunch, and of course cake!
Tuesday – Dress up like a baby – onesies, bibs, pacifiers
Wednesday – Dress up like what you wanted to be when you grew up
Thursday – Dress up like your favorite children’s book character
Friday – Nap time! (sweats, blankets, slippers, etc.)
At the Table
On Wednesday, January 18, the King’s Jr. High students will join the high school students for a special assembly in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. The special multi-media presentation entitled “At the Table with Dr. King” chronicles the inspirational life of Dr. King, celebrates the progress America has made in the civil rights movement, and encourages students to answer the call to make the world a better place for everyone. You can find more information at this web site: http://listenliverepeat.com/

King’s Open Houses – Invite your friends!
As we enter the enrollment season for the 2017-18 school year, we could use your help to spread the word about King’s. Please invite your friends to attend an upcoming open house. Because so many of our referrals come from King’s families, we offer the Win-Win Program for our domestic students. The Win-Win program is designed to thank King’s families for referring friends and families. A tuition discount of $500 per new student is available.
