CLASS PLACEMENT POLICY
We are actively planning for the 2017-2018!  Your child’s current classroom teacher places your child with a teacher for 2017-2018.  Please do not request any placements through your classroom teacher.

There is an extensive process that goes into creating a well-balanced class and selecting your child’s teacher is not an easy process.  Tentative class lists are compiled the middle of May and are then reviewed by the principal’s office.  In August all class lists are again reviewed before being finalized.

For students with documented educational special needs parents should email, call or request an appointment with Mrs. Huling if you have concerns.  The principal’s office will discuss these needs with Academic Services, the school counselor and the teacher when class lists are compiled.  The deadline to submit parent letters is May 19, 2017.

Students are placed with teachers in the best educational setting for the students.  Class lists are confidential.  Please do not put teachers in an awkward position by requesting personal information concerning other teachers, students and/or requesting the “inside track” on your child’s placement.  This is unfair and unacceptable at King’s Elementary School.

We appreciate your support on this issue.  Thank you!

Re-enrollment for 2017-2018
Be sure to re-enroll ($225) to ensure priority student placement for next year.  Spaces are filling up.  We are currently interviewing new students for 2017-2018.

North Carpool
NO DOUBLE DROP-OFFS!  When the line stops ALL students in the car need to get OUT of the car immediately.  Please pull up, stop and let out all your students at the same time.

Box Tops for Education

Annual Magazine Renewal and New Subscription Event
If you would like to renew or subscribe to new magazines for the coming year, the online portal is available for your convenience. A portion of each order will go to our school and be used for curriculum enrichment at the elementary. Just go to the website for a list of selections. The website is available 365 days a year for your convenience! If you have any questions, please contact the school office and Mr. Kelly will provide assistance.

Office Communications:
When you are emailing the office, please be sure to email both Mrs. de Langen at [email protected] and Miss Soriano at [email protected]. Any change in student pick-up at the end of the day needs to go through the office. This is the only way to be sure your student gets the message. If you send an email to the teacher, he/she may not be available to respond due to teaching students. Please Call Mrs. de Langen or Miss Soriano at 206-546-7258.
