Congratulations to the boys and girls track teams who both won bi-district championships this past weekend. The athletes who qualified for state are competing in Cheney today, tomorrow and Saturday. Good luck to our track athletes.

Awards Night
King’s High School’s annual Awards Night is planned for Wednesday, May 31st at 7:00 p.m. in Schirmer Auditorium. Our awards evening will recognize the accomplishments of many students in academics, music, fine arts, performing arts, and athletics and will include other special honors as well. Everyone is welcome so please, save the date!

KHS Live Presents, The Final Bow
You are invited to an evening of fun and laughter as KHS Live presents, The Final Bow honoring KHS Live Seniors on Tuesday, June 6th at 7:00 p.m. in Schirmer Auditorium. This is a free event so plan to bring your friends with you!

King’s Summer Music Concert
Come to an evening of music to welcome the beautiful days of summer featuring Celebration, Concert Choir, Living Faith and Chamber Orchestra. Please join us on Thursday, June 1st at 7:00 p.m. in Schirmer auditorium for this free event.

Saturday School
The last two Saturday School opportunities for the year will be on June 3rd and June 10th from 8:00 a.m. until noon.  If you are over the 6 allowed absences in any class you will want to get your hours made up at Saturday School. Any hours not made up by June 10th will have to be made up the week after school is out (June 20, 21, 22). Please see Mr. Skeen if you have any questions.

All Girls Welcome!
All girls are invited to participate in a 7v7 Girls Soccer Tournament and you don’t have to be a current soccer player to join in the fun! Teams can be made up of any girl in 8th through 12th grade. A maximum of 10 players per team playing on half the field;  20 minute halves with a 10 minute halftime one game per day at Woolsey Stadium. Cost is $15.00 per player. Please turn in your money and the names of your team members to Mrs. White by June 9th.  Game dates are June 12, 14, 15, 16 right after school. Important Final Exam Information
The end-of-semester final exams are scheduled for Wednesday, June 14th, Thursday, June 15th and Friday, June 16th. School is dismissed at 12:30 on June 16th. Final exams need to be taken on the day and time scheduled.  Students are not permitted to take early or late finals except in cases of illness or exceptional circumstances.  Exceptions must be pre-approved by the principal.  Family vacations do not constitute exceptional circumstances.  Non-approved absences result in a “0” grade on the final exam.  During final exams, students are required to be in classes like regular school days.  The regular school attendance policy will apply to all absences.
