The first week of October has arrived! Fall is in the air. Please remember to dress your children for the weather. We do like to go outside even when we have our beautiful Seattle mist. Our classrooms are busy at work, still focusing on “God Made Me” as well as integrating some fun activities about fall harvest. We have had a lot of fun at the preschool this week. One of the highlights include cutting open a pumpkin and seeing what is inside. This is such a wonderful sensory experiment for our students. In addition, many students have created amazing works of art with finger-paints and watercolors. Our older students have started to focus more on alphabet letters, the lines that create the letter, and interesting activities to help reinforce the letter sounds. We have also started to talk about CRISTA Veterinary Missions with our students. Since CVM seeks to serve farmers and share the gospel with them, we can also help teach our students what it means to serve others while we learn about the farm and harvest.
We will begin our visits to our Assisted Living this month. Please look on your student’s lesson plan to see what days they will be walking over to see the Grandma’s and Grandpa’s. Please dress your student accordingly.
