King’s is the Greatest School on Earth!
As the holiday season is right around the corner, the auction team is counting our blessings and we want to thank everyone involved with King’s Schools largest fundraiser of the year – the 35th Annual Benefit Auction. Because of the amazing and generous community of families, King’s has been able to provide financial aid for students and the teacher endowment fund continues to increase and grow. We’re excited for another inspiring and fun evening celebrating King’s Schools. Mark your calendars for March 16, 2018.

There are so many ways to help … from donating items from the Amazon or Target wish lists or your favorite local business, donating a delicious dessert or great bottle of wine to helping with big or small auction “tasks”. Find out more at https://kingsschools.org/support/auction/. Thank you for everything you do – we are truly grateful!

State Soccer Final Four!
Girls Soccer Final 4 is today and tomorrow at Shoreline Stadium. The Lady Knights will play Seattle Academy at 4:00 p.m. today, Friday. Come support the Lady Knights.

Volleyball State Champions!
Congratulations to the Lady Knight Volleyball Team for capturing the 1A State title last weekend in Yakima. The team made an improbable and dominating run through the tournament by beating the #1, #2, #4, and #5 teams in the state, two of which were previously undefeated! The Lady Knights only lost 2 sets along the way by a combined total of four points. It is the first volleyball state championship for King’s since 2009. Way to go ladies!

Individual Tutoring
Are you struggling in your English, Spanish or History classes?  Do you need someone to help you with your college essays?  Maybe you need help with reading, writing, or speaking skills?  Mrs. Quick is available for individual tutoring this year. This service is for all students, free-of-charge. Her hours are Tuesday and Thursdays from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. in Room 213.

King’s DECA Students Have Had a BIG Week!
Joining 139 high schools nationwide, twenty-nine King’s students travelled to Washington DC and Philadelphia for a DECA leadership conference. Students attended break-out sessions, went to a college fair, visited historic monuments and participated in a DECA role-play competition. Congratulations to Jamie Edwards, Rachel Phelan, Ben Gardner and Eric Haljem for earning medals for top scores.

Tuesday, all eighty-eight King’s DECA students participated in the King’s Holiday Show. These emerging entrepreneurs either created their own micro-business or partnered with a local entrepreneur to fundraise for our DECA chapter. Thank you to all who came and did some Christmas shopping. We appreciate your support!
