Last weekend, our King’s Volleyball team earned the title of State Champions! The road to the title was daunting, as they had to face the #1, #2, #4, and #5 teams in the state, two of which were previously undefeated! With new King’s players in nearly all positions and only one with State tournament experience, the final point pile-up showcased raw emotion of victory against all odds. This is King’s Volleyball’s 3rd state title and first since 2009.
Coach Jeff Fransen reflected on the season: “We had a great group of girls that worked really hard. They had to go through the gauntlet, but they came together and played their best when their best was needed. I’m not only proud about what they accomplished, but also how they accomplished it. They honored God in their attitude and actions and really represented the highest tradition of King’s athletics.”
