Each year, five to six students in every classroom depend on financial aid to attend King’s. Some families have said that if it weren’t for financial aid, their children would struggle in public school or end up not being well-equipped for college. For other families, attending King’s is a sacrifice they are willing to make, as even with financial assistance King’s tuition is often their largest bill.
Many King’s families whose children receive financial aid feel they are connected to a unique and unified support system. We asked a few families about what financial aid and King’s mean to them – here are some of their comments:
My youngest daughters are attending King’s and excelling both academically and spiritually. I believe the dedicated staff and teachers who lead by example have contributed to their success, sometimes walking with us through the hardest of times. It has been in those critical moments that King’s families have fled to us in love and support.
We take financial aid very seriously, and it is truly a gift that this type of support is available to us.
Every year when I get my award letter, I just break down and cry, because it is so generous of this community—a community so filled with love that people are willing to help families and children in need learn and grow at King’s!
We felt King’s would be a great fit for our son, but didn’t think we’d be able to afford a private education. We decided to apply for financial aid and to pray for wisdom about our decision. With the amount we received, we knew it would still stretch our finances as a family, but we decided to take a leap of faith. Three years later, we’ve never once regretted our decision. Our son loves school and is thriving at King’s, and though finances have been tight, they always seem to be just enough. The generosity and love in this community inspires us every year!
King’s is a place where [my son] is so secure and cared for and most importantly, a place where the love of Christ is instilled in him.
Every gift to the Knight Fund helps provide much-needed financial aid to King’s students. Through the support from our community, students have the opportunity to receive an excellent, college preparatory education immersed in a faith-based environment. Our community is stronger and more richly blessed by having diverse families from a range of economic experiences. We would like to thank every person who helps make dreams of a King’s education possible for our families.
Wishing you a very merry Christmas and a new year filled with hope and inspiration!
