Congratulations to Senior Robbie Simanton
KHS Senior, Robbie Simanton, a four year member of the Edmonds-Woodway wrestling team, was the Wesco 3A District Champ for 195 weight class as a member of the EWHS 1st Varsity squad! The Edmonds-Woodway team finished the regular season as Wesco 3A South Champions. After winning Districts, Robbie competed at the WIAA Regional Tournament where he won 4th place and earned a spot at the WIAA State Tournament at the Tacoma Dome. In addition, Robbie was named the WIAA State Academic Champion for the state of Washington at the 195 weight class. Way to go Robbie!

CyberKnights Complete Robot
It’s the end of the 6-week build season and the CyberKnights have completed their robot for the 2018 FIRST POWER UP game! On Tuesday, they locked up the completed robot and won’t touch it again until the first competition. It started with strategy, design and prototyping followed by CAD, building, electrical, and programming. The 31 member team feels confident in this year’s bot, which they affectionately named “Weeble” after the retro Weeble Wobble toy, so it won’t fall down! The first competition will be held on March 3rd and 4th at Mount Vernon High School. Please come and support our robotics team. Event schedule and details here.
