On Saturday, March 10, King’s Elementary participated in the annual Shoreline Math Olympiad. We were among 665, 4th-8th grade students, from schools throughout Shoreline. We had 19 students representing King’s Elementary. They have been preparing since September, working diligently to learn and challenge themselves. The Olympiad is made up of 2 individual tests and 2 team tests. We had 9 students place individually and five of our six of our teams also placed. Both of our 4th grade teams placed, 3rd and 7th overall, and all of our 6th grade teams placed, 5th, 6th and 8th overall.  We are very proud of our students, not just for their achievements, but also for their perseverance, hard work, and desire to grow and challenge themselves.

 March 19-23!
We will once again be participating in Shoreline Water District’s Fix-A-Leak challenge. Packets will be coming home on Friday, March 16 with all the information!  Please return all results by Friday, March 23.  This is not just for families who live in the Shoreline area, but all water districts.  King’s Elementary has been the leader with this initiative.
