Dance Planned for the Friday After Spring Break
Our Spring Dance will be held on April 13th at the Golden Gardens Bathhouse from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. The theme is Out of This World/Space. Tickets will be on sale this week during lunch for $20.00 per person. There will be a costume contest so come in your best space themed attire. Volleyball and basketball courts are included on the dance perimeter so you can play a game instead of dancing. Sunset is at 7:55 which will be the best time for pictures. Although there is ample parking, carpooling is encouraged.

Announcing Junior Senior Ball!
The Class of 2019 is excited to announce this year’s Junior Senior Ball, held in honor of the Class of 2018, onboard the Argosy Cruise Lines brand new ship, the Salish Explorer, on Friday, May 4th. The theme for the cruise is “Illuminate.” Tickets sales will take place during lunch starting Wednesday, April 18th through Friday, April 20th. Tickets prices and lots of additional details are available here. If you are a member of the Class of 2020, save the date for next year’s JSB planned for Friday, May 3, 2019!

Mock Trial at State Tournament
This past weekend, King’s Mock Trial sent two teams to the Washington YMCA Mock Trial State Tournament. King’s Team Red, led by senior team captains Jake Orme and Cody Huyan, went into the tournament as the Snohomish County District Champions. Team Red battled four very challenging rounds and finished the tournament with a 3 wins / 1 loss record and landed in 7th place. Team White, comprised mostly of freshmen, had their inaugural showing at the state tournament and ended with a very proud 8th place finish! Several of our students were recognized for receiving best witness and/or best attorney nominations. Best Attorney Nominations: Jake Orme, Cody Huyan, Wesley Bhang, Diego Lomba, Victoria Smith, Elisabeth Kelly, Kathryn Morris, Elizabeth Anderson. CyberKnights Win Highest Honor in FIRST Robotics
The CyberKnights competed at Glacier Peak High School this past weekend in their final local meet of the season. Their strong performance earned the team enough points to advance to the PNW District Championships in Portland April 5-8. The team also won the highest award in FIRST Robotics, the Chairman’s Award. The most prestigious award at FIRST, it honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the purpose and goals of FIRST. Last Call for Internship Opportunities
As a part of CRISTA ministries, King’s High School has the unique opportunity to offer internships to high school students. As juniors and seniors, students are able to receive real-world experience during the school day, building skills and career interest that impact future opportunities and decisions. Applications for internships are now available either in the main office or at www.tinyurl.com/KHSInternships. Father Daughter Dance
King’s High School will be holding its bi-annual Father-Daughter Dance at the Seattle Golf Club on Saturday, April 28th at 6:30 p.m. Girls, invite your father (or grandfather, uncle, another father-figure in your life) for an evening of dinner, entertainment, dessert and dancing.  This a great chance to dress up (attire is semi-formal) and spend a special evening with your #1 fan. Sophomore College Seminar Night

Members of the Class of 2018
If you ordered graduation announcements from National Achiever, a representative will be in the Student Lounge during lunch to distribute them on Friday, April 20th during lunch.

Attendance Appeals
If you have received notification that your student has exceeded the number of allowable absences for this semester and you wish to appeal those absences, “Attendance Appeal” forms are available from Mrs. Kelly. The deadline to appeal absences for this semester is Friday, April 20th. Appeals received after the deadline will not be considered.

  • We will have a mandatory meeting for students at lunch in Ms. Wasson’s room, room 301 in Ella Kay Ness on Tuesday, April 24th.
  • Mandatory parent meeting of students interested in trying out on Tuesday, April 24th at 7:00 pm in room 301 of Ella Kay Ness.
  • Tryouts will be May 8-11. Additional details will be available as the date approaches.
