Thank you parents!
The junior high teachers enjoyed many nice treats and a special lunch this week for Teacher Appreciation Week.  Parent Council wants to thank all of the parents that participated and made this a special week for our teachers.

9th Grade Class Officers
8th grade students who would like to run for a 9th grade class officer position for next year, can pick up application packets in the junior high office starting on Monday.  Completed applications are due into the junior high office on May 17.

Armor Council Applications
Current 7th graders who are interested in applying for next year’s Armor Council can pick up an application in the office. Applications are due May 18.  Please contact Mrs. Haslam with any questions, jhaslam@kingsschools.org.

2019 D.C. Trip
All of the 7th graders received packets in their first block class about next year’s Washington D.C. trip during spring break.  There is an early registration deadline of May 25 for the $150.00 savings.  You can register on line at www.worldstrides.com/signup, and use Trip ID#164175.  Please contact Jeff Wright (jwright@kingsschools.org) with any questions.

Dress Code
Please remind yours students about dress code rules for school.  Shorts and skirts are to be no shorter than 5” above the knee (no track shorts), midriffs are to be covered, and shirts need to have sleeves.  Thank you so much for your help with this.

Serve Strong Projects due June 8
All of the 7th and 8th grade students will be presenting their Serve Strong projects in small groups on Friday, June 8.  The 8th graders will do their presentations before they leave for Wild Waves and the 7th graders will be doing theirs at the end of the day. There will be 4 work times during lunch for students to get help from Mrs. Halkett and Mrs. Folkins in the BNC computer lab on May 24, 29, 30 & 31, if they have questions or need help preparing their projects.
