Do You Have Medication in the Office?
If your student has medication in the high school office, please remember to pick it up on or before the last day of school. Nothing can be kept over the summer so anything not picked up will be disposed of through a local pharmacy drop-off. Parents can pick it up at any time or students can pick it up at the end of the day just before heading for home. Thank you!

The environmental science classes conducted field surveys last week to monitor habitat restoration sites at Richmond Beach Saltwater Park. As part of our ongoing collaboration with the City of Shoreline and the University of Washington, students conduct yearly vegetation sampling to report progress to King County. The data collected by our students will be used to secure funding to continue the long term restoration efforts there.
Hannah Carrithers and Cristina Cavero are starting a business for their DECA project next year. In order to get started, they are asking for gently used brand-name clothing, jewelry, accessories, and shoes donations. They can be dropped off in the high school office during school hours or you can contact Cristina or Hannah to find a location that better suits you. If you have any questions please email Cristina Cavero at [email protected], (206) 724-3662 or Hannah Carrithers at [email protected], (206) 910-4425
Service Hour Opportunity
Magnolia Lutheran Church is looking for student volunteers to help them with Vacation Bible School. Students will have the opportunity to engage with children Pre-K through 5th grade during this time as counselors, activity assistants, arts and crafts leaders and roles in other areas as needed. We do award service hours and students can choose hours that fit in with their summer schedule. 2018 VBS takes place from July 9th through the 13th. The hours are 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Thursday and from 9:00 to noon on Friday, ending with an outdoor lunch for everyone. Volunteers are asked to come early to prepare for the children’s arrival. All forms information are available at www.magnolialutheranchurch.com .
A Reminder About Final Exams
The end of school is right around the corner and final exams are on Wednesday, June 13th, Thursday, June 14th and Friday, June 15th. School is out for the summer at 12:30 on the 15th! Final exams need to be taken on the day and time scheduled. Students are not permitted to take early or late finals except in cases of illness or exceptional circumstances. Exceptions must be pre-approved by the principal. Family vacations do not constitute exceptional circumstances. Non-approved absences result in a “0” grade on the final exam. During final exams, students are required to be in classes like regular school days and the regular school attendance policy will apply to all absences.
