Safety Patrol Leadership Positions
If your child is in 4th, 5th or 6th grade and he/she desires to serve in a leadership role, King’s Elementary Safety Patrol may be the perfect fit! Safety Patrol members will assist the CRISTA Security Team as crosswalk monitors at the intersection of 195th and Dayton Avenue North.
A student orientation meeting will take place for all new and returning applicants in Room 40 (music portable) on Tuesday, September 25th at 11:45am. Mr. El’Kahn Thompson and a school administrator will conduct the meeting. The Safety Patrol Team will be on duty each morning from 7:55 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. and in the afternoon from 2:40 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Responsibilities will be shared on a rotating schedule. We are excited to offer this opportunity to our students as a valuable leadership experience! Mr. Gage will contact your families for permission to serve. Please email Mr. Gage at [email protected] if you have any questions.
Carpool Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Thank you for following our Carpool Procedures in order to ensure the safety of your children.
Carpool – Grades 1-6
Keep It Moving!
- Pull Fully Forward – No Gaps.
- Students need to be ready to exit car immediately in AM
- Parents should not get out of the car.
- Shoreline Police have stated that there must be two-way traffic on Dayton Ave N. Shoulder line up off the road is acceptable.
- Please use the carpool lanes. Do not line up or park on side streets or on the east side
Diagonal parking in A.M. North Carpool Lot – Grades 1 – 6:
If you diagonal park and walk your children to class, DO NOT walk through the parking lot. This is a huge safety concern.
- Walk on sidewalk
- Cross where designated
Parent Prayer Opportunity – Wednesdays from 8:30-9:30am
We need your help to lift up King’s Schools in Prayer! Parent volunteers needed to gather weekly to pray over our King’s community of students, parents, and teachers as well as CRISTA campus and our local community. Prayer requests can be sent directly to Danelle at 206-799-6279 via phone call or text or email [email protected]. All requests are kept confidential within the prayer group. Meet in the Elementary Library after signing in at the office.
When you are emailing the office, please be sure to email Mrs. de Langen at [email protected]. Any change in student pick-up at the end of the day needs to go through the office. This is the only way to be sure your student gets the message. If you send an email to the teacher, he/she may not be available to respond due to teaching students. Please call the office at 206-546-7258.
Medication at School
During the course of the school year, your child may need to take medication at school. A “Permission to Administer Medication Form” must be completed with a physician and parent signature. All medications, OVER-THE-COUNTER and PRESCRIPTION, require a completed form and must be in their original containers. Prescription medications, including inhalers must have a prescription label. Please label OVER-THE-COUNTER medications with your student’s first and last name. Forms are available in school office or on Parents Web.
