The River

Every Wednesday morning from 7:00-8:00, 20-30 High School students gather in the music room to worship Jesus, pray, hear and share testimony, meditate on Scripture, encourage one another, and eat doughnuts!  It’s a great way to start a Wednesday and to connect with other Jesus lovers passionate enough to get to school an hour early!  Come join us at the River.  Questions?  Contact Mrs. Kispert at dkispert@kingsschools.org

College Visits:

Our College Visits begin next week in The College Center. We have roughly 50 colleges that visit each year in order to meet with King’s students to answer questions and share more about their specific institution. Watch for announcements in the daily bulletin, through Naviance and the calendar on the bulletin board outside The College Center. All grade levels are welcome to attend these visits! Contact our college counselors with questions: college@kingsschools.org.

Practice SAT/ACT Tests:

King’s will be offering three free practice SAT/ACT tests this school year for our students. The dates are as follows:

Practice ACT: September 26th at 1-5pm

Practice Half & Half: March 13th at 1-5pm

Practice SAT: April 24th at 1-5pm

You can register for the tests here to secure your spot: Kaplan Practice Test Registration.

Cultural Exchange:

This fall, join Señora McCormick (King’s High School Spanish teacher) for an unforgettable 1-week cultural exchange to Guadalajara Mexico!  King’s High School students are invited to visit Lincoln School in Guadalajara, to stay with families from the school and to be immersed in Mexican culture. The trip will foster an emerging relationship (3 years now!) between two groups of students, two schools and two nations. Students will stay with Lincoln families and will attend classes with Lincoln students. On the weekend, they will explore Guadalajara and surrounding attractions and participate in a community service activity. The trip is from November 7th through November 14th and the cost is $850. Additional details about the trip and the application are attached:
