Calling all Parents of Athletes

An encore presentation of the “Role of Parents in Athletics” will take place at 7 pm on October 24th in the High School Learning Commons.  The feedback we received from the presentation in August was very positive.  The presenter does not speak on behalf of coaches or administrators, but rather on behalf of your children.  The presentation is built from feedback of thousands of  athletes and the things they wish they could say to their parents but often times will not.  If your child is or will be involved in athletics at any time, this is a valuable investment in making their experience the most positive it can be.  All parents want their children to have a positive experience while playing sports.  What most parents do not realize is that they are the most influential person to make the experience a positive or a negative one.  As a reminder, Mr. Rasmussen, Head of School at King’s, is making this presentation mandatory for all high school parents of athletes.  If you were not able to make the August presentation, please plan to attend October 24th.   There will be one more opportunity prior to spring sports.  Parents of junior high or elementary athletes are encouraged to attend.
