New Horizons clothing drive

Thanks to the generosity of our King’s Junior High families, we had over 730 donations of socks and undergarments for New Horizons. New Horizons is a homeless youth shelter in downtown Seattle. The director of New Horizons recently spoke to Mrs. Peterson’s collaboratory class, Hidden In Plain Sight, and told them about the various aspects of being a homeless youth. Designing a sock and under garment drive was the result of being inspired to help.  Thank you for your donations!

The theme for this year’s social is “Sports Jam,” and students are encouraged to show their team spirit by dressing up in their favorite sports attire.
