Volunteers Needed for the Auction!

TWO WEEKS to go until our fabulous New Orleans Knights Auction!  We are putting the finishing touches on a great evening, but are still short some volunteer positions.  We could really use a few more sets of helping hands to work the night of the event.  Lots of different kinds of jobs are available….come be part of the fun!  And if you have a high schooler that would like to earn serve hours, we have jobs for them too!  Join us at the biggest King’s community event of the year!  If you are able to help, please email us at [email protected]SEE YOU ON MARCH 15TH!

Next to Nature

Last Saturday, the Environmental Science class helped clear blackberries, ivy, and scotch broom at Richmond Beach Saltwater Park. As part of a long-term restoration project, our students have partnered with the City of Shoreline and University of Washington for the past eight years to remove invasive species and establish native plants to improve habitat quality at the park. We will be back there again on Saturday, March 9. We would love for you to join us! If you are interested, please see Mrs. Archer for details. Service hours are available.

AP Test Registration

If you are currently taking an AP class and are planning to take an AP test in May, it’s time to register. The registration window goes through March 15th. Keep in mind you will be charged a “restocking fee” if you end up not taking a test you registered for. Registration begins today! Please note: This is not for students interested in applying for future AP courses.

 Speech and Debate News

Five King’s Speech and Debaters—Meg Travis, Caroline Kulits, Victoria Smith, Joanne Yi, and Elizabeth Anderson—will be heading down to Vancouver, WA this Saturday, to compete in the Puget Sound District Tournament!
