Many classrooms are continuing to study animal habitats.  Some classrooms had caterpillars in their classrooms and were able to observe the whole process from chrysalis to emerging as butterflies.  The students were then able to release these new butterflies.

Mrs. Kim and Mrs. Scanzon talked about gentleness at Chapel this week.  They taught the students that even though Jesus is powerful, like a lion, he also uses gentleness.  Mr. Hill helped illustrate that point for our students dressing as a lion yet displaying gentleness to his “cub”.

*Reminders

*Prek Families, please sign the permission slip for your child to go on our field trip in May.  The folder is located next to the sign in sheet.  If you would like to volunteer on our field trip, we have packets available for you to fill out.

*Purple Room Families, your permission slips are in a folder with Mrs. Lee.  She will be connecting with you to get those filled out.

Volunteer Information

Our PreK classes have one last field trip in May.  If you would like to attend you will need a completed background check.  Please see the following steps.

  1. Pop into the office and ask for volunteer paperwork                                                                   
  2. Fill out the packet and follow the attached instructions                                                                                                  
  3. The instructions will help you create a MERIT profile and you will need to a Portable Background Check, the cost for this is $12.                   
  4. When I have received your volunteer paperwork, I will e-mail you instructions on how to link to King’s Preschool                                                                                            
  5. Once your Portable Background Check has been submitted, MERIT will contact you via e-mail to set up an appointment for fingerprints.  The cost for fingerprints will be around $45.
  6. Keep your eye out for an e-mail from the office or MERIT regarding your volunteer status      *If you would like to volunteer in a classroom you will need a TB test as well
