Save the date for Freshman Orientation – Wednesday, August 28th, 2019
Wednesday, August 28th, 2019 is LINK DAY, our Freshmen Orientation Day. Incoming freshmen are led by our Link crew which is a freshmen mentoring program that allows upperclassmen to provide incoming ninth graders with activities and programs to help them prepare and experience a successful high school experience. This is a day-long orientation that includes assemblies, small group activities, lunch time activities, and a campus tour that allows the freshmen to become acquainted with the high school setting as well as befriend upperclassmen. The Link leaders are trained to teach life-skills lessons, facilitate team-building activities, learn cooperative skill development and discussion skills. The day will go from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm. All students are encouraged to meet at Schirmir Auditorium at the beginning of the day. The students will need to bring a lunch for our lunch break and wear comfortable clothes for our activities. Feel free to contact Dan Taylor if you have any questions at [email protected].
