Missions Breakfast

All students, parents, and guardians are invited to the King’s Missions Breakfast (originally scheduled for October 26) now scheduled for Saturday, November 2nd at 8:30 am in the King’s Learning Commons.  A free breakfast will be served from 8:00-8:30 a.m.  The Missions Breakfast is designed to share the vision of each Mission & Culture Trip this year.  There will be breakout sessions where you can hear the specifics of up to two trips of your choosing.

Junior Class Parent Council Panel

Wondering how other parents navigated Junior & Senior year? The Junior Class Parent Council is hosting an informal panel made up of parents who have high school graduates. They will share and discuss insights, advice about what worked, what didn’t work, what they would do differently, and how to enjoy these final high school years. Please join us if you have questions and/or your own experiences to share.

NACAC College Fair

Freshmen, Sophomore and Junior Families! Please consider attending the NACAC College Fair on Saturday, November 2nd. This is the largest college fair in Washington! It is a great opportunity to meet college admissions representatives, learn more about colleges that you have interest in and perhaps even a college that was not on your radar. The King’s Holiday Gift Show is Back on November 22nd!

The King’s High School DECA Program is hosting its annual Holiday Gift Show Fundraiser on November 22nd from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm! With over 65 vendors, this free show is the perfect time to get a head start on your holiday shopping! Vendors this year include Glassybaby, Caravan Crepes, Crystal Jewelry, AT&T, 3 Food Trucks, and many more!

High School Christmas Decorating

On Sunday, December 1st at 2:00 pm, Students, Parents, and Staff will be gathering to decorate the High School Campus for the Christmas Season.  Come join us for a time of fun, fellowship,  cookies, and cider as we get into the holiday spirit.  Students can earn service hours. Hope to see you there!

King’s Sports

–Ultimate Frisbee

Winter Sports! King’s Ultimate Frisbee team is excited about another season. All students can join, and no experience is necessary. If you have any questions or want to sign-up, contact Mrs. Bockheim in BNC 203 or Coach Scott at kingsultimatefrisbeeclub@gmail.com. Practice is twice a week after school with games on the weekends. The first practice will be on Nov. 18. An information meeting will take place on Nov. 14 during lunch in BNC 203.

–Soccer

Our girls soccer team plays for the DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP, 3 PM at Whatcom CC in Bellingham on Saturday, November 2.  Please note this is a change in time from the original schedule of 7 PM.  Our team won a share of the North Sound Conference title and have already qualified for the Bi-District Tournament next week.  Good luck to our Lady Knights as they head into the playoffs!

–Football

Our football team plays Friday night, November 1, at 7 PM in Woolsey Stadium.  It will be senior night for the team as well as an important league match-up with South Whidbey. With a win, the Knights will secure a share of the conference title and will be the number one seed heading to the district playoffs. The Knights would host the district game on Saturday, November 9 with a win.  Even with a loss, the Knights have qualified for a playoff game and would host Meridian on Tuesday, November 5.

–Cross Country

Our cross-country team heads to the BI-DISTRICT meet this Saturday at South Whidbey.  The girl’s race begins at 1:20 PM and the boy’s race will start at 2:35 PM. Last week the girls team won the North Sound Conference Championship with Naomi Smith bringing home the individual title by almost 2:00.  The boys team finished second with sophomore, Nick LeBar, leading the way with an individual second-place finish. Good luck to our runners this weekend at Bi-District and the following weekend at state in Pasco.

–Volleyball

Our volleyball team finished an undefeated regular season and will host the first two rounds of the district tournament on Saturday, November 2nd.  The team will play at 1 PM and again at 2:30 PM.  With at least one win the Lady Knights will advance to the Bi-District Tournament the following week.  Come out and cheer on the volleyball girls as they push to make it to another state tournament!
