Teacher and Staff Appreciation Video
We sent this video out to all families on Wednesday evening! We want to thank Tyson Chaplin for this creative and heart-warming video!
Thank you again to our amazing Parent Council for organizing and hosting the “Drive-Thru Luncheon” yesterday for all King’s Elementary Teachers, Staff and Administrators! This was an INCREDIBLE feat and WE were overwhelmed at your care and kindness! A special thank you to Tessa Chaplin and Lanna Begis as Parent Council Leads. Your leadership has been incredible!
On behalf of all of us, THANK YOU for all the cards, gifts and flowers that we received yesterday from you. We are truly thankful for each and every family at King’s Elementary! We are grateful for the opportunity to continue teaching your children, meeting with and loving them as best we can through remote learning.
Thank you for all you are doing to support your children and us during this unique time.
WE APPRECIATE YOU and WE MISS YOU! THANK YOU!
Moms and Sons
On Saturday, May 9th (or another day this weekend) take some time to Share What You Love with each other. Moms share a favorite hobby, recipe, song, or sport that you love with your son. Same with you sons, share with your mom a favorite video game, sport, movie, or other activity that you love.
Make sure you take some photos and share them on Facebook and Instagram tagging King’s Schools. We want to see all the creative ways you chose to Share What You Love with each other.
Class Placement Policy 2020-2021
Students are placed into classes for next fall by their current teacher. As you know, King’s teachers are highly qualified, professional, gifted and amazing! Teachers thoughtfully and prayerfully place students in the best educational setting for them. For students with documented educational special needs, parents should email Ms. Rose (K-3) at firstname.lastname@example.org or Mr. Gage (4-6) at email@example.com. The deadline to submit concerns for a student with documented educational special needs is Wednesday,
May 20, 2020.
Class lists are confidential. Please do not put teachers in an awkward position by requesting the “inside track” on your child’s placement. This is unfair and unacceptable at King’s Elementary School. We appreciate your support on this issue. Thank you!
On May 21st, CRISTA Camps is holding a Good Ol’ Fashioned Camp In, in an effort to bring Camps into our homes, and serve families with something to look forward to and experience together during quarantine. The online Camp In is about 45 minutes and will include camp songs, crafts, and an educational portion about horses. When families register they receive a 16 page camp guide filled with crafts, recipes, activities and a devotional to do as a family. At the end there will be an invitation for families to join the Miracle Horse Club to support camps and learn more about the horses (this will be a very small part of the presentation.)

Reading Minutes and Free Husky Gear
Parents if your students are tracking their reading minutes, they can earn FREE Washington Husky gear just by submitting their reading logs! Such a cool way to add some extra motivation!
Mission Possible Challenge – 4th Quarter!
Our mission projects this year have reached out to our community, city and world. As we face this time of staying at home, we want to encourage and thank all front-line workers. Our missions challenge for students and families over the next few weeks, is to write a note to delivery workers. This can even be a family activity.
What do you do? Make a card or note that thanks them for their dedication to delivering your mail and packages. Tape the note to the mailbox or leave it by the door before a delivery arrives.
Take a photo and share it with your teacher! Join the fun and take the MISSION POSSIBLE challenge of sharing God’s love with others.
We are continuing our Parent Prayer time on Wednesday mornings, now using
the wonderful gift of Zoom. Please join us remotely if you can for a time of prayer from
8:00-8:30am. To join, click on the link below.
